For a homemade movie made by a Swedish guy in his office, KUNG FURY is a real hoot, a fun and action-packed tribute to over the top '80s action cinema. It's a bizarre, one-of-a-kind production which is absolutely packed to the brim with bizarre and stylistic elements: a story in which a heroic cop battles a kung fu-fighting Hitler and involves dinosaurs, robots, Vikings, and plenty more besides.KUNG FURY is a cheapie film made on a green screen and yet it looks much, much better than a ton of SyFy Channel or Asylum movies. The whole off colour concept - in which the colour is slightly out of line with the figures in the film - gives the whole thing a cool, 3D-style look. The constant CGI is very well achieved, and fans of '80s cinema will be in love with the constant references and tributes. Yes, this is silly, trivial nonsense, but it's funny silly, trivial nonsense, and I had an absolute ball with it.
