I just downloaded the 2012 Express install ISO image. After install I got the message "This product will expire in 30 day(s). Registration is required for the continued use of Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web."
I have been using VS Express 2012 for almost a month and now it states that I must enter a product key to continue using it. To get that product key I am asked to register. Only after creating a Microsoft account (great, another account to keep track of) does it inform me that I must enter details about my company, its address, its employees, and my role in it.Is there a way for individuals or hobbyists to use Express or is it intended for businesses only? Is there any way to get a product key without entering fake business information (or is fake information the standard response to frustrating forms)?

Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web also provides tools that make it easy to work with cascading style sheets (CSS). You can design the layout and style content in Design view by using UI tools such as the CSS Properties window. You can also change positioning, padding, and margins directly in Design view by using WYSIWYG visual-layout tools. For more information, see ASP.NET Master Pages, ASP.NET Themes and Skins and Working with CSS Overview.

(You can find the system requirements and download details here.) This post is written by Jennifer Leaf, one of the program managers working on the new product.
This release, we introduced Team Foundation Server Express 2012, as well as the Team Foundation Service at www.tfspreview.com. We also included Team Explorer, which allows for integration with your TFS server into all of our Visual Studio 2012 Express products, including this one. We wanted to make it simple for you to use the source code control, work item tracking, and build automation that TFS provides.
In previous Express products, the ability to connect to a data source was limited to Database File. In Express for Windows Desktop, this capability has been extended to support all SQL Server data sources. For example, in Database Explorer, you can connect, navigate, query against and edit database objects through the latest SQL Server 2012 and Windows Azure SQL Databases.

This question is more for my knowledge than anything (since I recently replaced my community editions and express editions with visual studio professional ), am well aware that Visual Studio Express is a very limited version, but is there anything actually that says that actually forbids small companies from using this on their machines.
Express is really free. It's also basically worthless :) I'd stop and ask yourself why you want to use it, because there is nearly no case where your business isn't the big loser with VisualStudio. It's free because it essentially is only useful for learning and making products that lock you into really high cost charges down the road. Development studios are free for every major platform. Don't just jump into VS because you can get a free version. Chances are, 99% of the time, you should be running away from it.
SSDT, if you're not familiar with it, is the hodgepodge of improvements to database development in Visual Studio that was formerly known by the codename "Juneau." It comes free with the new SQL Server 2012 and just-released Visual Studio 2012 Release Candidate and can be installed from the Web. Even describing SSDT is somewhat complicated, as it consists of so many different "things." For example, besides replacing and improving the Visual Studio for Database Professionals ("Data Dude") product, it's also the new place to find former Visual Studio Business Intelligence Design Studio (BIDS) functionality such as Analysis Services, Reporting Services and Integration Services. It's also kind of a Visual Studio in-house replacement for SQL Server Management Studio so you don't have to keep switching back and forth between the two. It also adds a bunch of new features and improved functionality across many areas. Basically it enhances and simplifies the (admitted by Microsoft) difficult database development experience in Visual Studio. 2ff7e9595c
